About Jennifer Stanton

Jennifer T. Stanton is an experienced, effective and aggressive trial attorney. With twenty one years of trial experience, her practice is dedicated solely to the defense of the criminally accused in federal and state trial and appellate courts. Ms. Stanton graduated from Duke University, Durham, North Carolina in 1983. Since receiving her Juris Doctorate degree from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1990, Ms. Stanton has been sworn before the following courts: the Virginia Supreme Court and all the lower Virginia courts; United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia; United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia; United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court. Her firm provides criminal defense services to clients in matters of federal and state trials, pre- and post-trial motions, sentencings, and post-conviction relief matters. Ms. Stanton frequently acts as local counsel for out-of-state attorneys who practice in Virginia on a pro hac vice basis.
